Unfortunately but inevitably, the current dreadful situation has put paid to the first Oxford Indie Book Fair which had been due to take place on 4 April, hanging on the august coat tails of the wider Oxford Literary Festival, now also postponed. A provisional date of 13 June has been proposed for the Fair but I’m not holding my breath. It may take place in October, I’m told, but if not I guess it will definitely be something else to look forward to in 2020 Mk 2, ie 2021.
Also in severe doubt is my proposed debut Library Event in Carterton on 24 June. Nothing definite has been said yet about that, but I am expecting a postponement.
None of this is in any way, shape or form as important of keeping ourselves, our loved ones and everyone else safe.
